2026 Men’s Retreat

Our 2026 Men’s retreat will again be at Camp Joy Holling, 5 PM Friday, January 30th to 3 PM Saturday, January 31st.

This year our leader will be Fr. Clay Lein, Rector of Holy Trinity in Lincoln. The theme is Becoming Whole: A Men’s Journey Toward Skillful and Faithful Living.

Becoming whole doesn’t mean uncracked—it means being honest about the cracks and working to repair and heal them. Like this compass below, our lives can carry fractures from stress, regret, loss, and the long effort of trying to do the right thing. And yet, in God’s hands, the broken places are not the end of the story: they can become the very lines where grace shines, where healing takes shape, where wisdom is forged. (As in the Japanese craft of Kintsugi, when cracks are filled with gold.) This retreat is an invitation to skillful and faithful living—to let Christ re-center us, to mend what needs mending, and to learn again the steady practice of listening, choosing, and walking. The goal isn’t perfection; it’s direction: a heart made more integrated, a life aligned with true North, and a brotherhood that helps us keep pointing toward the Light.
