Our youth group meets weekly from 10:15-11:15 AM on Sunday mornings during the church’s program year. We will begin on Sunday, September 13, 2026, and end on Sunday, May 16, 2027, with breaks for the weeks of Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, Holy Week, and Easter. Our weekly sessions include discussion and application to real life through a book study as well as other hands-on activities. Our youth group is open to all 7th-12th graders. Our youth are guided by a team of teachers who serve in teams of two: Fr. Keith, Mtr. Kaity, Stu Dornan, Reid Peters, Andrew and Meg Harms
In addition to our weekly meetings, our youth have multiple opportunities to lead and participate in the life at St. Andrew's, including:
Starting in the Fall, we will also offer additional monthly community service or community building activities. These activities are based off current youth group members' interests and include volunteering at a food pantry, working in a community garden, ice skating, and ziplining, to name a few
Confirmation is a rite of the Episcopal Church signifying a mature affirmation of faith. Youth group members can be confirmed when our bishop, Bishop Barker, visits next January. Prior to Confirmation, youth attend a Confirmation retreat to prepare them for this next step in their faith journey.
