“All God’s Children”New Sensory-friendly Worship at St. Andrew’s

St. Andrew’s is the first faith-based COMPASS Partner with Autism Action Partnership, as we launch “All God’s Children,” our new Sensory-Friendly Worship service.

All God’s Children is a new monthly worship experience specifically designed to honor and support neurodivergent individuals of all ages. The first service will be held on Sunday, April 19th, from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM.

Through our COMPASS Partnership with Autism Action Partnership (AAP), we have pledged a parish-wide commitment to inclusion, utilizing AAP’s specialized training and consultation to transform our worship space into a welcoming and enriching environment for people of all abilities. “All God’s Children” offers a quiet, beautiful, and flexible worship setting.

The service features:

  • Sensory-Conscious Elements: Quiet music and a thoughtfully reduced-barrier environment.
  • Inclusive Participation: A Bible story and Communion with bread and grape juice.
  • Community Support: A focus on building fellowship and ongoing belonging for families who may have previously felt excluded from traditional worshipping community life.

Fr. Keith says, “Too many individuals and families who live with sensory sensitivities have been unintentionally left on the margins of worship and community life. “Our hope is simple: to build a gathering where neighbors who may have felt ‘church isn’t for us’ can find fellowship, encouragement, and real community—to bring people together not just for a service, but for ongoing support and belonging. This is another key step in our goal to “Draw the Circle” of God’s abundant love wider and wider.”

Here is the schedule for our first three services:

  • Sunday, April 19th | 1:00 PM – 1:45 PM
  • Sunday, May 17th | 1:00 PM – 1:45 PM
  • Sunday, June 14th | 1:00 PM – 1:45 PM
