Summer 2026 Diaper Drive

From Mother’s Day to Father’s Day (May 10 to June 21), we will be collecting diapers and monetary donations to purchase diapers to help meet the needs of Nebraska Diaper Bank and St. Benedict’s Pantry, an Episcopal food pantry in North Omaha. We especially need larger size diapers (size 5). We do not need pull-ups at this time.

You can bring diapers to church, or donate using “Diaper Drive” in the memo line. Opened packages of diapers that kids have outgrown are also welcome.

1 in 3 Nebraska families struggle to afford diapers for their children, also called diaper need, in part because there is no safety net program (SNAP, WIC, Medicaid) that covers the cost of diapers. Nebraska Diaper Bank provides monthly supplies of diapers to low-income children through community partners.

Most daycares do not accept cloth diapers or that parents must provide in advance the diapers their baby will need at daycare? State regulations require daycare workers to replace babies’ diapers every two hours, whether they need a fresh diaper or not. Because of these regulations, parents on average of miss five days of work a month because they don’t have the diapers to send to daycare.
